Are there any beloved brands in the gun industry that still haven’t nailed their design?

Kimber instantly pops into mind. They make great gun that are fantastic but their quality control has been a bit hit or miss over the years. Some models come out flawless while others have problems right from the start. Given the price tag, you'd think they would have nailed down consistency by now.
