Is anyone using a threaded barrel on their 43X MOS? I'm thinking about adding a compensator or a suppressor but I want to hear your experiences first. What brand did you end up choosing? And more than that, has it been reliable for you? Any issues with cycling or fitting? I'd love to get some real-life feedback!

I recently put a threaded barrel on my 43X MOS, and I think it’s a great upgrade if you want to throw on a compensator or suppressor. I chose a True Precision threaded barrel, and it’s been super solid for me. The fit was perfect, no glitches when cycling, and it smoothly handled both the compensator and standard muzzle devices. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

I ended up going with a Zaffiri Precision barrel, mostly because I really liked the finish and it had some great reviews about how easy it was to just drop in. I didn’t run into any fitting issues at all, it locked up tight and has been running smooth right from the get-go.

I started off with a compensator (Radian Ramjet setup) , and it really knocked down the muzzle rise. There was a bit of tuning involved with the ammo though and I found that lighter loads didn’t cycle quite as reliably. But as soon as I switched to 124gr NATO or some hotter defensive rounds, it felt like it was on autopilot. I didn't even have to fiddle with the recoil spring, though I know some people change that up depending on how they set everything up.

If your goal is to attach a compensator or suppressor, always go for the threaded barrel.

Just make sure to choose a well-made barrel from a reputable brand.
