Everything I thought I'd already figured out on a square range basically got thrown out the window the moment the target started swinging, bouncing, falling, and running instead of just sitting there waiting for me. The lead calculation changed, the timing changed even where my focus needed to be changed....and none of it lined up with what I'd been training for months.
It clicked pretty fast that square range targets had only ever been teaching me marksmanship not actually shooting, those turned out to be two different skills wearing the same name. Both matter and neither one replaces the other...But if you've never added movement into your practice, you're probably missing a piece you don't even know is missing yet.
