Based on what manufacturers have been showcasing recently, are we actually getting real performance enhancements in pistols, or are they just giving us some minor cosmetic updates?

It’s really a blend of both. Some companies like SIG, are making real strides in performance with their P365 platform and optics integration but then you have others who just change up the colors and tweak the grip textures a bit labeling it as a generational upgrade. You’ve got to look closely at what’s actually changed.
