Delaware’s transport rules can seem a bit tricky at first but they’re really not that complicated once you break them down. The part that trips most people up is Delaware’s definition of “loaded,” since even if the chamber is empty, it still counts as loaded if the mag is in place. Once I got my head around that, everything else felt pretty simple. I’d rather take an extra 5 seconds to separate everything than have a roadside talk about the details. For me, it’s less about decoding every single line of the law and more about sticking to a routine that keeps things clean, safe and easy to explain if anyone ever asks.
